Key Responsibilities of the Role:

The successful candidate will join one of Ireland’s leading engineering companies where they will contribute to the development of the function from day one. The Senior Internal Auditor will hold a highly visible role within the company and will have access to senior management across the organisation.

  • Proactively plan and lead internal audit assignments across numerous high-profile projects
  • Liaise with senior management to agree audit findings and guide management on appropriate remediation plans
  • Proactively review and ensure policies and procedures are fully adhered to across the business
  • Promote a strong culture of internal controls and best practice
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior management across the business
  • Actively contribute to the development of the internal audit and compliance function
  • Carry out special project work as required by the Board and Audit Committee

 

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant or equivalent
  • 3+ years PQE in an audit or multinational environment
  • Experience in leading internal audit assignments, controls testing and substantive testing
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to work with initiative essential
  • Experience in the construction industry a distinct advantage but not necessary
  • Experience of SAP and/or Data Analytics tools would be beneficial
  • Ability to travel to European locations (approx. 10% - 20% travel)
