An important aspect of the development programme is the completion of a group research project. Graduates are split into small groups of four or five and assigned a strategic business project to research and present their findings to Senior Management. All topics are chosen by Senior Management and are relevant to Mercury's business.
Scope of the Role:
An entry-level opportunity has arisen for a graduate to join our Change Management team who support the tactical delivery of change initiatives for the business.
Reporting to the Change Programme Manager, the Graduate Project Manager (Change) will focus on project coordination, planning, reporting, and managing cross-functional tasks that drive meaningful change across the organisation. Under the guidance of the Change Programme Manager, the individual will be assigned as PM to lead end-to-end medium complexity change initiatives while developing their skillset. Amongst others. the individual will gain experience in business process change, digital and data initiatives, IT implementations, organisational and operational change and regulatory change initiatives
Key Responsibilities
· Project Delivery for Medium-Tier Change
o Manage delivery of assigned Tier 2 change initiatives, following Mercury’s Change and Project Governance Frameworks.
o Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs and reporting packs.
o Coordinate cross-functional project activities and track progress against milestones.
o Follow the Change Committee (CC) pathway for Tier 2 approvals.
o Escalate risks, issues or blockers early to Change Programme Manager.
o Ensure projects are delivered on time, aligned to scope, and with minimal operational disruption.
o Prepare “go/no-go” readiness content and support cutover planning for project go-live.
o Work with Change Analysts to confirm readiness and support early-life stabilisation.
· Project Coordination & Governance
o Provide project coordination and administrative support to Project Managers on High and Critical Tier project delivery
o Capture meeting minutes, decisions and action items and track closure.
o Assist with requirements gathering and process mapping.
o Maintain documentation and version control using SharePoint and other team repositories.
o Coordinate workshops, demos, training and communication sessions.
· PMO Support
o Provide Change Programme Manager with updates on project status, risks and dependencies.
o Support capacity, potential collisions, resourcing constraints and scheduling visibility across the portfolio.
o Contribute data to dashboards, packs and consolidated portfolio reporting.
· Continuous Improvement
o Coordinate & share lessons learned
Experience & Qualifications:
Essential
· Graduate degree (Business, Technology, HR, Engineering, Communications, or related).
· Strong interest in project delivery and organisational change.
· Structured thinker who can bring order and consistency to information
· Strong communicator who asks questions and seeks clarity.
· Calm under pressure; good at follow-through and meeting deadlines.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and keep structured records.
· Proficiency in MS Office and collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint).
· A proactive, organised and detail-oriented approach.

- Experience in the Construction Industry or Trade Background
