Reporting to the Rewards Manager, this job will be based in our new Global Headquarters in Ballycoolin, Dublin 15.

Hybrid Working Model – 3 days per week in the office.

 

Scope of the Role

The Reward Analyst plays a key role in analysing and administering Mercury’s compensation and benefits programmes. This role ensures that reward practices are competitive, fair, and aligned with business goals. The Analyst provides data‑driven insights, supports annual reward cycles, and partners with HR and leadership to enhance employee experience and engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Participate in the design, implementation, and administration of salary structures, bonus schemes, and benefits offerings, supporting a workforce that mobilises across various countries throughout Europe
  • Support and administer annual reward cycles: With a strong technical acumen and ability to learn and navigate SuccessFactors compensation module, coordinate annual salary reviews, bonus calculations, and other performance‑related pay processes
  • Support base pay review and annual budget allocation in line with business guidelines and produce analysis on monthly out of cycle requests to the renumeration committee
  • Lead market benchmarking: End-to-end ownership of all external salary surveys and analysis of internal data against survey results to ensure competitive positioning
  • Provide reward analytics: Deliver reports and insights to support decision‑making
  • Advise HR and managers: Offer guidance on reward policies, job evaluations, and pay recommendations
  • Maintain compliance: Ensure reward practices align with legal requirements and internal governance
  • Support reward projects: Contribute to initiatives such as job architecture, pay transparency, benefits redesign, and global mobility
  • Enhance employee experience: Help communicate reward programmes clearly and effectively to employees
  • Accurate and timely delivery of reward cycles
  • Clear and trusted reward guidance to stakeholders
  • Improved manager and employee understanding of reward programmes
  • Data‑driven insights that shape reward strategy

Essential Criteria for the Role:

  • Degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years proven working experience in similar role or a role with transferrable skills
  • Strong proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and reporting, with emphasis on the ability to analyse and interpret salary data, market surveys, and internal pay structures to support compensation decisions
  • Proficiency working in an HRIS system, particularly in the back-end technical tasks of setting up and maintaining compensation modules
  • Experience with compensation benchmarking and reward analytics tools
  • Knowledge of reward frameworks, job evaluation methodologies, and market pricing
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Effective communication skills to explain reward concepts to non‑experts

 

Desirable:

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent is an advantage
  • Training in reward analytics or job evaluation is beneficial
