Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Reporting to Analytics Department
  • Responsible for a project or portfolio of analytics projects
  • Administration of Analytics software
  • Responsible for all aspects of Analytics, as defined by the Analytics SOP
  • Design, implementation, and maintenance of Analytics Reports
  • Delivery of Analytics Reports to Executives, Functional Heads, Committees & SBUs
  • Training general staff in updating Analytics Reports
  • Training general staff in interpreting Analytics Reports
  • Advising on Analytics related to new and established processes and workflows
  • Advising on functionality of any proposed Group process applications and systems
  • Promoting Data Literacy within the company
  • Troubleshooting data and analytics related issues
  • Responsibility for quality and accuracy of reports
  • Making relevant parties aware of issues and advising on solutions
  • Travelling to projects to carry out the above, if required
  • All other duties associated with role.

 

Essential Criteria for the Role :

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an analytics / business analyst role
     
  • Strong Data Manipulation & Analysis: Strong proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.), SQL, and data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
     
  • Statistical and Analytical Skills
    - Understanding of Statistics: Knowledge of descriptive and diagnostic statistics.
    - Problem-Solving: Analytical thinking to interpret data trends and patterns, identify potential business insights, and recommend actions based on data analysis.
     
  • Data Visualization and Reporting
    - Visualization Skills: Ability to create clear, insightful, and aesthetically pleasing data visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries such as Matplotlib and Seaborn.
    - Reporting: Experience in creating comprehensive reports for various stakeholders, including executives and non-technical teams, conveying insights in a clear and actionable manner.
     
  • Strong Business Acumen
    - Understanding of Business Context: Ability to connect data insights with business outcomes, ensuring that analysis aligns with organizational goals.
     
  • Communication Skills
    - Written and Verbal Communication: Proficiency in explaining complex data insights in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders, and writing clear, concise reports.
    - Presentation Skills: Ability to present findings to stakeholders effectively, using data storytelling techniques to make insights compelling and actionable.
     
  • Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking
    - Logical Thinking: Ability to break down complex data problems into manageable parts and apply structured thinking to find solutions.
    - Creative Solutions: Capacity to think creatively when faced with new challenges or data-related issues.
