Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Support the process of business change, improvement and efficiency by working with business leaders, process owners and relevant stakeholders to understand business requirements
  • Map end to end processes, highlighting business challenges and pain points
  • Review the performance of processes
  • Identify root cause problems of where processes breakdown
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Understand the intended outcome of proposed initiatives
  • Deploy problem-solving methodologies and tools to diagnose and solve operational problems
    • Perform analysis
    • Work with BA colleagues and relevant business stakeholders to identify solutions and assess them for technical and business suitability
    • Complete research on market to locate suitable products and solutions and present options to business stakeholders
    • Identify potential IT partners as needed
  • Elicit, define and document the requirements
    • Break complex business problems into clearly articulated requirements
    • Assist business stakeholders in prioritising the right business requirements
  • Under guidance, assist in the development of project documentation such as RFI, RFP, business case, UAT scripts creation etc
  • Participate in producing implementation plans including any infrastructure requirements, testing regime, UAT and training
  • Involvement in the support of full project life cycles
    • Scheduling of meetings and workshops
    • Participate in project review meetings
    • Document and collate project data including minute and actions taking as well as maintenance of any project related trackers and registers
    • Identify and advise on business and IT resources required to support any proposed projects
    • Assist in completion of QA and UAT planning and test cycles
    • Assist IT Adoption Analyst on change management aspects of project delivery and user awareness & provision of knowledge transfer
  • Assist post-process improvement benefit analysis
    • Present product / solution demonstrations to stakeholders
    • Validate solution meets needs and expectations of the business and stakeholders
    • Upon completion of a project, hand-off of project to relevant managers and business owners
  • Support senior analyst colleagues with the delivery of more complex projects
  • Software & Partner Contracts & Agreements
    • Assist in analysis of business needs for licencing requirements for new software and IT partners
    • Assist in renewal process through analysis of usage, assessment of business requirements and identifying suitable alternative options where suitable
    • Liaise with providers and/or partners to obtain appropriate quotations
    • Raise requisitions on ERP system to ensure IT partners are issued with PO for payment
  • Know the Business, Know the Industry
    • Build an in-depth knowledge of our business and forge strong working relationships across the full suite of departments, business units and sectors
    • Develop knowledge and understanding of technology trends and techniques
    • Attend relevant meetings and events (such as conferences, webinars and seminars)
    • Remain current on legislative changes which would impact the business
    • Develop strong understanding and appreciation of cyber security practices
  • Participate in cyber security initiatives lead by the team
  • Promote the role of the BA and Business Applications Team throughout the organisation
  • Support Group IT activities and strategy as required

 

Essential Criteria for the Role:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar business analysis role
  • A self-starter with the ability and experience in working independently with general supervision
  • Proven experience in development of documentation (such as business case, RFI, RFP)

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Exposure to conducting UAT cycles an advantage
  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritising tasks, shifting priorities, fluctuating workloads, deadline pressures
  • Good understanding of current technology trends and techniques, with an awareness & active interest in new & emerging technologies
  • Solid grasp of enterprise architecture, on-prem and cloud IT environments an advantage
  • Ability to think on your feet, work independently and also proactively with others to find solutions to issues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, interacting appropriately with technical & business resources, driven but courteous
  • Creative thinking to deliver proposed solutions to meet new or changed business requirements
  • Willing to take ownership of tasks and driven to constantly go the extra mile to see them completed successfully
