Scope of the Role:

Mercury Engineering is looking to recruit an experienced warehouse manager for a role in Denmark. He/she will partner cross functionally to develop, lead and execute the required strategies and initiatives to fully deliver a best in class service across a large project. Utilising a commercial mindset to develop and maintain key metrics to ensure stock levels are always at their most efficient. The role reports into the Project director on Site.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Strategy: Implement the incumbent Material management strategy to support the wider organisational strategy in the delivery of a large-scale project.
  • Project execution: Develop Project Materials management Plan (PMMP) in line with the overarching Project Procurement Execution Plan (PPEP)
  • Capacity Planning & Provision: Responsible for the provision of the required level of capacity on an ongoing basis in line with project needs & volumes.
  • Collaboration with procurement: Work with the Project procurement department to ensure the relevant information is available regarding inventory levels and incoming deliveries.
  • Processes: Implement project specific Materials Management SOP’s as required and provide additional ad-hoc support as required.
  • People Management: Develop and lead the warehousing team to achieve best in class service.
  • Reporting: Provide accurate and concise information to the Project management that can be utilised to make strategic decisions.      KPI’s.
  • Logistics – Work in tandem with the logistics coordinator to ensure on time deliveries to warehouse and site.
  • Safety: Be a Safety Leader – Implement and promote client best practice safety work practices within the warehouse team and maintain high level of housekeeping in warehouse and surrounding area.
  • Fleet Tool and Plant; Work with the FTP controller to ensure FTP spend is kept with in budget.

 

Skills Required:

 

  • Have 6+ years relevant experience and competence working in a warehouse on a construction project.
  • Third level or higher qualification in Supply chain management or Construction related discipline.
  • knowledge of SAP ERP and MRP Systems relating to materials management and operations & planning management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others at all levels in the organisation and a proven working relationship with people.
  • Great communication skills with a commercial mindset.
  • Strong business acumen and commercially aware with robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A positive and flexible attitude and self-starting ability with the aptitude to take ownership of projects as required and see them through to completion.
  • Experience of large-scale construction projects.
  • Knowledge of Electrical components.
  • Ability to concurrently run / manage a large volume of work
