Key Responsibilities of the Role: 

  • Accountable for the financial performance of a group of data centre management contracts including the development and production of monthly Financial Reports.
  • Responsible for the consistent delivery of subcontractor support services across the account
  • Supports the site teams with commercial and financial day-day performance of the contract
  • Develops the monthly and quarterly SLA & KPI status of the portfolio of data centres
  • Has an engineering background and will be able to carry out technical and financial negotiations with the subcontractor support services
  • Will ensure that the completion status of the technical services is recorded, and that the subcontractors monthly invoicing is in line with completion status
  • Ensures that the Mercury data centre management business policies and processes are effectively communicated, implemented and adhered to across the account
  • Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both clients and Mercury’s health & safety policies are effectively resourced and implemented on the account
  • Ensures optimum staffing structures operate on the account, balancing cost reduction with the delivery of service excellence. Ensures that these structures support peaks and troughs in workload, and disaster recovery.
  • Ensure appropriate control systems are in place to comply with statutory, policy and contractual commitments across the account.
  • Ensure a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts.
  • Practical experience must include recruitment and line management experience for contracts >100 staff
  • Good understanding of project management principles and able to co-ordinate resourcing and financial performance of several projects in parallel 



Essential Criteria for the Role: 

  • Engineering degree
  • >10years industry experience
  • Experience with managing budgets of >£10m
