Sabrina Barrett, Group EHS Co-ordinator, launches Mercury’s 12 Days of Safety, Christmas campaign

We are delighted to announce the launch our 12 Days of Safety, Christmas campaign on our projects throughout Europe. Mercury has continuously championed this key initiative since 2011, which plays an important role in re-enforcing our Work Safe, Home Safe ethos ahead of the holiday season.

Speaking before the roll-out of this year’s campaign, Sabrina Barrett, Group EHS Co-ordinator said: “At Mercury, we place the safety of our people and partners first. Safety is our anchor value and underpins everything that we do. Our operations span across sixteen countries, and our QEHSS programme is truly global.

“We successfully introduced our 12 Days of Safety campaign over eleven years ago and have enjoyed high levels of engagement from our people, supply-chain, and clients. Safety is embedded in our DNA. It’s the bedrock of our delivery, training and processes and as we approach the holiday season, it is vital that we all, as construction professionals, revaluate, refocus, and re-affirm our commitment to maintaining the very highest levels of health and safety.

“Christmas is a special time of year for our people and their loved ones, and without our people we are nothing. This fact means that every individual within Mercury is accountable. Our 12 Days of Safety initiative seeks to reinforce our ethos of Work Safe, Home Safe, through best-in-class practical demonstrations, conversations, training and presentations. Our team understand that by sticking to the safe coordinated plan we can guarantee that our people get home safely to their families at the end of every day.

“We have enjoyed yet another year of outstanding EHS performance on our projects throughout Europe, and we are asking all stakeholders to maintain these industry leading standards as we approach the end of 2022.”
