Mercury is delivering Equinix’s MU4.3 data centre in Munich, expanding an operational facility through a phased fit-out programme.
The scope covers full construction, with significant interfaces between the new development and the existing live facility. Delivery requires close coordination with existing assets and careful management of each phase of the expansion.
Whole Life Carbon is a key consideration throughout the project. Structural solutions, material selection and coordination with existing assets are being developed with lifecycle performance in mind. Design and procurement decisions seek to reduce embodied carbon, support efficient operation and deliver long-term value for the campus.
The structure and roof are complete, marked by a recent topping out ceremony, allowing the internal fit-out to progress. The project builds on Mercury’s long-standing relationship with Equinix and almost two decades of data centre delivery in Germany.
