We are seeking a skilled and experienced Orbital Welders to join our team for a Pharmaceutical Project in the Dublin area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining orbital welding equipment to produce high-quality welds in a variety of sizes. The Orbital Welder must possess a strong understanding of welding principles and techniques, as well as the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

 

Selection Criteria / Person Specification:

  • Ability to work with and understand the protocols of installing electro polished tube and fittings, setting up purging of systems using inert gases.
  • Must be able to operate and understand Arc machines and Orbitalum welding equipment.
  • Ensure all welding operations meet quality standards and specifications.
  • A knowledge of High Purity tools, equipment and techniques used in fabricating and installing high purity piping systems in Pharmaceutical Projects.

 

Essential

  • Four years’ experience in in orbital welding.
  • Two years’ experience in in orbital welding on Pharmaceutical Projects.
  • Ability of reading and understanding isometric drawings.
  • Adherence to QA/QC requirements and documentation.
  • Must have experience in welding 2” and above.
  • Documented trade experience is a requirement and hold a welding ASME 9 IX, AMI or Orbitalum certification of competence.
  • Safe Pass.
  • Manual Handling.

 

Desirable

  • Have clean room fab shop experience in the fabrication of piping spools and dimensional checking of high purity pipe work in clean room conditions for orbital welding.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
