Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide project leadership and direction to the BIM team.
  • Development of co-ordinated 3D mechanical & electrical models, from base information – Base Design, PID’s, Scan & point cloud data.
  • Management of drawing registers and standards.
  • Production of GA’s and detailing sheets and prefabrication isometrics.
  • Design and detailing of services support systems.
  • Ensure project deliverables and deadlines are met in accordance with agreed project schedules.
  • Manage gated process milestones of BIM detailing process. 
  • Problem solving and resolution of co-ordination and design roadblocks. 
  • Attend design, client & site meetings as required.
  • Organize and attend alignment meetings with other trade partners.
  • Assistance in the overall development of the BIM protocols, workflows, and systems.
  • Training and mentoring of new entry staff on completion of training modules.
  • Performance review of BIM team. 
  • Ensure integration of models into federated model for overall co-ordination. 
  • Provide reports on schedule and progress to senior managers.
  • Technical report writing.
  • Ensure QA/QC compliance
  • Clash management on all systems.
  • Manage variations - from identification through to commercial recoup on same.  
  • Adherence to Mercury CAD and BIM manuals and processes.
  • Administration duties associated with the role.  
  • All other duties associated with this role.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • 5 years’ experience as BIM Lead
  • Relevant 3rd level Engineering or 3rd level BIM qualification.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Motivated individual with good communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in reading schematics
  • Knowledge of routing mechanical or electrical systems
  • Good written and verbal English.
  • Excellent IT skills 

 

Desirable:

  • Previous Semi-Conductor industry experience
  • Experience in PAS 1192 or ISO 19650

 

Software Requirements:

Experience in some of the softwares below anticipated

This role is office based 5 days a week
