Alan Clinton

Director of Enterprise Data Centres:

Alan started with Mercury in 2007 and has worked in various positions including Project Manager, Regional Manager and is now currently Director for Enterprise Data Centre Business Unit which is solely dedicated to data centre build out works within Europe. Alan has overall responsibility for the business unit and the most important aspect of this to ensure we exceed the client’s expectations, and this is achieved through leadership ensuring success.

Alan has been working in the construction industry for over 24 years with experience in sectors such as Data Centres, Healthcare, Retail, Office & Commercial, Manufacturing and Residential. Over the past 12 years he has been focused mainly on the data centre industry and has been involved in the successful handover of numerous projects in the UK, mainland Europe and Russia, most of the projects completed were for the largest colocation data centre providers in the world. Alan has worked on some of the most complex data centre builds which included fit outs within LIVE operational facilities to green field sites with complex ground conditions such as deep piling systems.

All these locations had various challenges from importation, taxation, human resource and cultural, all of which brought exciting dimensions to each project.

Alan began his career in the electrical industry and most recently has studied at INSEAD school of business.
