Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Management of Site Safety in conjunction with the Mercury Safety Advisor. This will include the setup, management of and closing out of the safety file as part of the Management team.
  • Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels. Daily resource levels and production rates monitoring. Attend and contribute to a weekly minutes meeting with sub-contractor.
  • Report / Maintain a daily site diary with subcontractor resource levels and active work fronts, with photographic evidence.
  • Management of Site QA in conjunction with the CSA Package manager including set up, management and close out of file. Continuous inspection of subcontractor work and records of same via checklist records.
  • Management of the Mercury “In Progress” snagging system ensuring that you return weekly punch lists where applicable. Responsible to implement a weekly close outlook ahead ensuring co-ordination with.
  • Management of Site Coordination between CSA subcontractors and interfaces with other subcontractors, mercury operations, other. Attendance to site coordination meetings as representative.
  • Knowledge of Project Program and work towards keeping or improving it. Coordinate and share the information with subcontractors’ staff on site to align them to the program requirements. Assist with and management of Project Schedule in conjunction with other trades and Package Leads.
  • Report on a weekly basis, any site events that have a commercial impact to the project: deviations, variations, delays to the CSA Manager to ensure all costs are captured and claimed, if applicable.
  • Issue internal weekly progress report, Supervisors report. Issue weekly reports. This will include all orders placed, materials expected, and labour levels. Responsible for the reporting of the internal weekly progress report to CSA Manager and Planner.
    • This will highlight progress percentage complete based on WBS codes and any concerns. It should also highlight any risk elements within the control of Mercury, e.g. late deliveries, as well as areas not available, delays, shortage of design, and third-party hold ups.
  • Schedule material deliveries to correspond with the project schedule. Track critical deliveries procured or not by Mercury/subcontractor.
  • Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings where required.
  • Assist with Package/project Close out of all project items including O&M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File – all with the support of the CSA Package Manager
  • Assist with the management of all costs associated with your package including:
    • Mercury CSA Team
    • Sub-contractors
    • Material deliveries and goods receipting.
    • Plant and Equipment
    • Variations
  • Any other duties associated with the role.

Essential Criteria for the Role:

  • 7 - 10 years previous experience in civil works or fit out background.
  • Proven record of supervising and involvement of large installation projects
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Experienced in design and build
  • Good technical knowledge of both CSA systems
  • Good IT skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well within strict deadlines
  • Ability to drive a large-scale project
