Mercury celebrates major milestone in the delivery of Digital Realty’s Paris Digital Park campus

Mercury recently hosted a celebration to mark a significant achievement in the development of Digital Realty’s Paris Digital Park, as construction nears completion on the PAR11 facility -one of four data centres that make up this visionary campus.

The event brought together Mercury staff including valued local hires, key contractors, suppliers, and members of the Digital Realty France team to recognise the collaborative efforts that have powered the project forward. Several Mercury team members gave speeches on the day, honouring the dedication, skill, and innovation that have defined this journey.

The Paris Digital Park campus, comprising PAR8, PAR9, PAR10, and the soon-to-be-completed PAR11 -will deliver a combined 76MW of IT capacity across 39,000 square metres of white space. With PAR8, 9 and 10 now successfully handed over and final works on PAR11 and surrounding areas progressing, the end of this landmark development is firmly will be complete in early Q4 2025.

Ray Scanlon, Business Unit Lead at Mercury, addressed attendees during the celebration and reflected on the significance of the project:

“It is with immense pride and gratitude that we mark a successful accomplishment of one of the most ambitious and technically advanced data centre projects in Europe, right here in Paris. This achievement is not just a milestone for Mercury, but a testament to what can be accomplished when vision, collaboration, and excellence converge.”

As the general contractor, Mercury’s Data Centres & Building Services team has been delivering the 19.2MW facility through a phased approach, beginning with the shell, façade, roof, and critical site-wide infrastructure. The fitout included architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems across several state-of-the-art data halls, supported by modularised plant rooms and sustainable design features. The plant and equipment span all levels of the building, with rooftop systems housed on a steel gantry.

The Paris Digital Park campus stands as a powerful example of what can be achieved when world-class engineering, collaboration, and shared purpose come together.

The campus is powered by 100% renewable energy produced in France via Guarantees of Origin certificates and is certified to ISO 50001. Each facility features high-density power racks, advanced fire suppression systems, efficient free cooling, and robust fibre connectivity, ensuring the campus is ready to meet the demands of the digital future. Paris Digital Park, with its modular design and hybrid cooling solutions, is built to accelerate digital innovation and meet the demands of AI.

Beyond the technical excellence, Mercury’s contribution to the local community also includes the delivery of a 7,500m² public park for the residents of La Courneuve -a lasting benefit that reflects the company’s commitment to social responsibility and positive local impact.

As work continues towards completion, the momentum and team spirit remain strong. With the final phase underway, the Paris Digital Park campus stands as a powerful example of what can be achieved when world-class engineering, collaboration, and shared purpose come together.

This moment marks not just the nearing end of a project -but the celebration of a team, a partnership, and a vision realised.
