Mercury’s incredible Madrid-based teams are driving our data centre projects and are at the heart of our continued success, and long-term operations in Spain.

Having first entered the Spanish data centre market in August 2018, this region has grown to be an important strategic location for Mercury. Our presence in Spain forms part of our long-term strategy and business plans, as we continue to expand our roots and develop further operations in this key region.

Our geo-resilience and diversity have empowered us to build dynamic teams for these projects, combining local expertise with our unique culture. In Spain, our teams draw upon the experience and local knowledge of our people, with our two teams possessing the highest percentage of native employees, when compared to any other Mercury region in continental Europe. This provides a catalyst that positions us to successfully deliver complex and leading-edge engineering solutions, regardless of any challenges that stand in our way.

In conjunction to this, we are pleased to be working with a range of local supply-chain partners in this region.

MD2.4 is a retrofit data centre project with a total capacity of 5.5MW, while Mercury is delivering the build and fitout of the nearby MD3 facility, which possesses 14.4MW of IT space.
