Over the weekend, hundreds of Mercury people and supply-chain partners took part in Pieta House’s Darkness into Light (DIL) 2022.

It is inspiring to see our people from across Europe join forces in fundraising for this worthy initiative. Mercury is delighted to match the registration fee and donations made by all of our employees.

Mercury has been a proud supporter of Darkness into Light for many years. Our success in recent years has led to continued growth, new opportunities and expansion into new markets. We recognise the diversity of the different regions and industries in which we work, and we adapt our working practices to accommodate those differences.

We are also committed to maintaining the high standards for which Mercury is renowned. Through our global operations, Mercury is determined to make a positive contribution to the communities in which we operate, to our employees, to our business partners, and to society in general.

More than 140,000 people worldwide signed up for this year’s fundraiser to support Pieta’s suicide intervention, counselling, and bereavement services.

Niamh Gilmore, Health & Wellbeing Coordinator said: “Well done to all who took part in Darkness into Light 2022. At Mercury, we know that mental health is of paramount importance in our industry. We provide an extended Employee Assistance Programme which is available to all our employees and their family members. We have a company wide focus on getting our people trained in mental health first aid to ensure we are working together to break down stigmas and in encouraging open and honest conversations around mental health.”
