Over the weekend, more than 200 of Mercury’s staff and supply chain raised over €10,000 for Pieta House’s Darkness into Light 2021 (DIL).

The event was held in a socially distant format this year, with individuals organising their own walks, runs, swims, and other activities in aid of an important cause.

It is inspiring to see our people from across Ireland, the UK and continental Europe join forces in fundraising more than €5,200 for this fantastic cause. Mercury in turn will match every registration fee and donation from staff members bringing the total funds raised to over €10,000.

More than 140,000 people worldwide signed up for this year’s fundraiser to support Pieta’s suicide intervention, counselling, and bereavement services.

We have included a selection of photographs submitted by our participants and their family members from across Europe. A special mention must go to more than 70 staff members based on a project in Poland who formed a socially distant human chain, to spell out ‘DIL’, ‘Hope’ and ‘Nadzieja’ (Hope in Polish).

Mercury has taken part in Darkness into Light for the past several years. Our success in recent years has led to continued growth, new opportunities and expansion into new markets.
