Mercury is delighted to announce the appointment of Ian McLoughlin to the role of Facilities Manager within our Technical Support Services (TSS) team. Ian joins Mercury after spending the last 15 years in Australia where he was General Manager for the facilities maintenance business of Saunders International Ltd (ASX:SND). Ian has extensive knowledge in critical facility operations as well as risk-based strategies for asset management.

Ian holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University Technology Sydney, as well as Mechanical Engineering degree from Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT). In his role at Mercury, Ian will be implementing a strategy to enter the facility management sector of the data centre market. With Mercury’s extensive experience in delivering data centre construction projects, developing this value-added service for our core customers will mean Mercury can deliver a full lifecycle ‘Design-Build-Operate’ business model.

Ger Geraghty, General Manager of TSS said, “Adding the critical facility management service to TSS’s existing structured cabling, fibre, white space fit-out and project upgrades capability means we are now in a position to deliver the full lifecycle services for our core customers. We welcome Ian to the team and look forward to offering this full suite of services over the coming years”.

Facilities Management

Mercury’s recent addition of a Technical Support Services (TSS) team means we’ve closed the gap on all construction and maintenance needs, providing clients with expert follow-up care for building requirements. Mercury’s long history of specialisation in areas such as ICT, Electrical, Mechanical and Fire protection, coupled with the recent additions of services in PPM, Predictive Maintenance and Integrated Facility Management, means Mercury is uniquely positioned to support clients throughout their entire asset cycle from initial design and construction, through to asset retirement.

The TSS team works in collaboration with clients to understand their business needs so we can assist with strategic, long-term decision making. By tailoring our service for each client, we support their dynamic business environment. As buildings move towards BREEAM In-use certification, implementation of technology to aid facility managers and rolling out of energy management programs, we work with occupiers to maximise building efficiency and to maintain sustainable building certifications.
