A group from Mercury’s Fire Protection Business Unit recently completed an annual training day at our offsite fabrication centre in Newbridge, Co Kildare.

Safety training practicals on the day included abrasive wheel, manual handling and mobile elevated work platform training.

Commenting after the training day, Paul Murhpy, EHS Lead said: “Well done to all involved, it was good chance for everyone to meet up as the fire protection vans are constantly travelling the length and breadth of the country.

“Thanks to Paul Geraghty for making the trip out to conduct PAT testing on all the vans equipment and Sean McCarthy for use of the facilities.

“It was an enjoyable day for all involved.”

Design Capability

Due to the highly specialised and varied nature of fire protection systems, Mercury Fire Protection combine its own highly trained and experienced fire protection engineers with the very latest in-house computer software to develop fully integrated and coordinated 3D designs using the most up to date modelling and BIM techniques, based on internationally accepted standards. We can develop our designs to many different codes and standards including LPC, EN12845, FM Global, NFPA, VdS, ANPI, CNBOP, GOST, CEA 4001 and our LPS 1048 Level 4 Sprinkler Certification allows us to self-certify all our designs and installations without third party attendance.
