Covid-19 Statement

As a European contractor, Mercury continues to operate fully as a business. We are continuing to safely deliver projects across Europe, while adhering to government health & safety advice and any applicable restrictions across all of the regions in which we operate.

We are continuing to keep safety at the forefront of everything we do, as our anchor value. We have introduced our Mercury Covid-19 Playbook, which outlines the minimum standard expected on all Mercury projects, containing specific instructions for social distancing across all works and site activities.

In addition to following all advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and local authorities, we have also introduced a number of measures including the introduction of Social Distancing Champion’s across all sites, who are charged with ensuring everyone adheres strictly to the social distancing guidance in place at Mercury as well as rolling out temperature checking across our projects.

Additionally, a number of Mercury's support staff are successfully supporting Mercury's projects from home, with our IT team having undergone major initiatives to ensure a smooth transition to the 'new normal' to maintain business continuity.

We, as a business are very mindful of the efforts being made by our people during this difficult time. We owe a huge thanks to our staff, clients & supply-chain who are working hard to keep our projects operating as much as possible, while protecting our most important asset – our people.

We expect that the current guidance on social distancing measures will be in place for many months and potentially for the foreseeable future. Increased testing and early identification and isolation of confirmed case contacts will continue to reduce the spread of the virus.

It is vital for the national and global economy that workplaces that can operate safely and adhere to social distancing and enhanced hygiene guidelines are able to resume operations, to deliver essential works and preserve our critical construction capability.

We continue to operate in line with WHO and the various government authorities/Health Service Executive (HSE) guidelines and will follow all applicable Government mandates.
