Scope of the Role: Reporting to the Material Management Applications Manager, the ERP Master Data & Analytics Specialist performs a variety of functions in accordance with the Master Data Governance policies and procedures. Primary responsibility is to coordinate the collection, maintenance, accuracy, stewardship, semantic consistency and accountability of the enterprise's official shared Master Data assets including suppliers, materials and Pricing in the core business systems. ERP Master Data & Analytics Specialist works with other analysts, internal departments and commercial business units performing analysis, resolve data issues and carries out Mass data system updates as necessary in line with defined data standards.

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties:                                                                                                             

  • Assume ownership and responsibility for accuracy of vendors, pricing and product data in core systems.
  • Creation and maintenance of Key Master data objects such as Material Masters, vendors, pricing records upon request from various business stakeholders
  • Manage a smooth workflow of data from various sources and gathering this information in the correct format in line with defined SOPs.
  • Adherence to defined company Data Standards and work instructions
  • Build relationships with Central functions and support other business users through the timely resolution of Master Data & Analytical Queries.
  • Work with internal departments and local users on any Data related projects to ensure progressive development and accuracy of data.
  • Engage with third party vendors as required.
  • Initiate regular data audits to identify any discrepancies and inconsistencies
  • Perform periodic & ad-hoc analysis, projects and any other assigned tasks and duties as directed, to support the team
  • Strong hands‑on experience with ERP Master Data, with clear ownership of ERP Material Management Master Data records, including creation, extension, correction, cleansing, and deactivation.
  • Ability to independently ensure correct and high‑quality master data maintenance, including proper naming conventions, accurate descriptions, avoidance of duplicates, and compliance with agreed standards
  • Self‑driven approach to master data management, knowing what good looks like and acting without the need for detailed instructions
  • Ability to think creatively to resolve Master data and reporting challenges, including finding non‑standard ways to verify whether a material already exists, validating descriptions via external research, and adapting data structures to business needs
  • Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of master data and reporting issues and implement sustainable solutions
  • Proven experience in data cleaning and data preparation, critical for correct Master data maintenance and for delivering reliable Excel‑based analytics and reports
  • Proactive mindset toward standardization, automation, process improvement, and simplification, with the initiative to identify and implement improvements independently
  • Clear understanding of the downstream business impact of master data, including effects on planning, engineering, procurement, logistics, and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to design appropriate summary tables, calculations, and visualizations to clearly present insights
  • Ability to validate own work, troubleshoot data and calculation issues, ensure completeness and accuracy, and consistently double‑check outputs
  • Interest in data automation and analytics tools, such as Power BI, Power Automate, and similar technologies that improve efficiency and reliability
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional team environment, engaging with both business and technical stakeholders
  • Good communication skills, including clarity, accuracy, and prompt follow‑up
  • Natural curiosity and genuine enjoyment of working with data, analytics, and continuous improvement

Essential Criteria of the Role:

  • 2-3 years’ experience within a similar role and ideally have systems administration experience, on an ERP system such as (SAP) is a distinct advantage
  • Deadline focused with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical/ Problem solving skills
  • Knowledge in data quality improvement
  • Ability to work on own initiative, motivated, self-starter and Team player.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent Communication Skills with ability to communicate standards to other staff members and internal customers.
  • Excellent admin and IT skills, proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to link Excel with ERP system such as (SAP), for example through structured exports, Power Query, or VBA‑based solutions
  • Strong Excel skills with demonstrated experience using advanced formulas (e.g. SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, IFS, XLOOKUP), PivotTables, Power Query, structured tables, and charts; VBA knowledge is an advantage but not required
