Go Beyond:
Mercury is looking to recruit a Business Strategy Graduate to join their growing team in Dublin to help deliver Go Beyond strategy. The purpose of this role is to help Mercury drive its long-term vision by supporting key strategic initiatives and aligning projects with our 2030 goals. The successful candidate will work with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, contribute to planning, reporting and performance tracking, and help communicate our Go Beyond journey clearly and effectively.

Responsibilities of the Role:
Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the ideal candidate should have a passion for delivering strategic initiatives in a dynamic company operating across Europe.
In this role, you will develop an understanding of our Go Beyond Strategy and revenue objectives across all Markets & Sectors. You’ll also broaden your knowledge of our People & Culture priorities and initiatives, ensuring alignment with Mercury’s values. As you grow in the position, you will progress to become an expert in Mercury’s seven-step strategy execution methodology, enabling you to play a pivotal role in driving transformative results across the organisation.

The primary responsibilities are as follows:

  • Coordinate Mercury Go Beyond initiatives across all Strategic Pillars, partnering with senior leaders to monitor progress, analyse performance and ensure timely updates to Pillar Plans.
  • Work closely with Pillar Owners to monitor KPI tracking and reporting, ensuring performance metrics are accurately maintained, updated and shared on time.
  • Build & maintain dashboards in Monday.com for real-time visibility of tasks, milestones and dependencies.
  • Develop branded communication materials for BU Leaders, ensuring clarity and consistency in messaging while learning best practices in corporate communications.
  • Align Pillar Plans with Continuous Performance Management (CPM) in order to cascade strategic objectives to all employees to incorporate them into our annual goals.
  • Participate in strategy sessions with senior leaders to review and update their plans, capturing lessons learned and assisting with follow-up actions.
  • Conduct research to benchmark Mercury’s strategic structures against industry trends, summarizing findings for senior review.
  • Assisting in preparation of presentations and tracking of Townhalls, Leadership sessions and Annual Summits.
  • Act as a positive representative of Mercury’s Go Beyond culture, engaging in team initiatives and promoting collaboration.

Desirable Experience & Skills

  • Degree in Business, Strategy, or a related discipline.
  • Internship or academic experience involving business analysis, strategic planning, or project coordination.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams across an international organization
  • Interest in the construction sector and project environments (knowledge is a plus but not essential).
  • Strong skills in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and familiarity with SharePoint, Monday.com or similar collaboration tools.
  • Good critical judgement and ability to solve problems quickly & effectively.
  • Ability to create professional, visually appealing presentations and reports; familiarity with design and graphic tools.
  • Experience in social media, visuals and video is preferred.
  • Creative, strategic thinker with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Be energetic, creative, delivery focused and passionate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to influence and persuade.
  • Resilient with a can-do attitude.

Essential Criteria:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business or Strategy.
  • Keen interest in cultures and travel.
