Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Maintain and manage all Mercury-owned Tool & Plant assets, ensuring they are accurately recorded, regularly updated, and fit for purpose
  • Identify damaged, obsolete, or underperforming equipment and coordinate timely repair, replacement, or removal
  • Update plant records promptly and communicate any status changes to relevant teams within agreed timelines (e.g., within 48 hours)
  • Track the condition, maintenance, and upgrade requirements of Orbital equipment to minimise downtime and support uninterrupted project delivery
  • Ensure availability of critical spare parts and replacement units to enable efficient repairs and reduce operational delays
  • Perform regular (fortnightly) inventory counts to maintain accurate asset records and support operational requirements across sites
  • Manage the asset disposal process, ensuring damaged or redundant equipment is removed, records are updated, and Finance is notified for accurate reporting
  • Enhance coordination and delivery of Tool & Plant to site teams, improving turnaround times, communication, and overall availability
  • Support site teams proactively by ensuring timely access to required equipment, helping to avoid delays on live projects
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive working environment by engaging with business units and support functions to ensure consistent service delivery across all locations
  • Perform general office management duties associated with this role
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the line manager

 

Essential Criteria for the Role:

  • Working experience in Tool & Plant Management
  • Strong administration skills
  • Computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Pride in the quality and presentation of work
  • Excellent communication skills

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience using SAP
  • Fluency in German and or French
