Mercury teams across Europe kick off Safety Month 2023
This October Mercury is taking part in the annual CIF Construction Safety Month. As the European leader in construction solutions safety is at the bedrock of our delivery, training, and processes to ensure we deliver dynamic results for our clients on every project while achieving the highest possible standards of health and safety.
Over the coming weeks, we will be recognising our commitment to our Work Safe, Home Safe culture, which underpins everything that we do. This year’s theme focuses on Critical Risk and our global team of 8,500 employees will be taking part in a range of initiatives, including toolbox talks, training sessions, practical demonstrations, stand downs, wellbeing events and more.
We continue to influence best safety practices within our industry, with the safety mindset firmly fixed in every team across Mercury as our anchor value. We are excited to demonstrate further our industry-leading safety practices throughout October, but also beyond as every month is safety month for us.
Michael O’Connor, QEHS Director commented, “Mercury is proud to support Safety Month across all projects and locations where we work across EMEA. Our goal of consistency is driven by our great teams including our supply chain who are all committed to our values and getting everyone home safe every day. We will publish additional updates on initiatives and presentations throughout October that demonstrate the great leadership and commitment from our team. Whilst every day is safety day, it is great to pause, reflect, and refocus through October in collaboration with our clients.”
We are dedicated to achieving the highest possible standards of Health & Safety. Safety is embedded in our DNA, it is the Mercury way – from design to construction, commissioning, and handover – our safety processes ensure adequate coordination and communication to enable our projects to be constructed safely.
Our team understands that by sticking to the safe coordinated plan we can guarantee that our people get home safely to their families at the end of every day. Safety is personal and we intervene proactively to ensure compliance day by day and hour by hour. We respect our workforce, and they respect our management as an integrated team with a common goal – to get home safe each day. Through our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, we ensure an industry leading project delivery every time and most importantly – the safety and wellbeing of all our employees.
