As a dynamic industry leader, we believe that there’s nothing holding you back from achieving your goals.

Our diverse 2020-22 Graduate Programme cohort recently received their certificates of completion and we are continuously looking for the next generation of leaders to join us on our journey.

Sarah Lawless, Risk Management and Corporate Strategy Consultant, spoke to us about her experience on Mercury’s Graduate Programme and tells those who are considering a career with us, why they should apply.

Tell us a bit about yourself, where did you go to college and what did you study?

“My name is Sarah Lawless, I’m 24 years old from Co. Meath, Ireland, and now living in Dublin. I went to Dublin City University, where I completed my studies in a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) with a final year specialism in HR.”

What attracted you to apply to Mercury’s graduate programme?

“It was clear even from the initial advertising for the graduate programme that Mercury is a company that would invest in your potential from day one. You are supported in every way possible to help as you develop as a graduate, but also to establish your career goals.”

What is your role and where are you based?

“I’m a Risk Management and Corporate Strategy Consultant based in the Mercury’s Head Office in Dublin, Ireland.”

What’s your favourite aspect of your job?

“Every day is different, and every day presents a new challenge and learning experience. My role allows for great exposure across each area of the business and provides interesting insights and brilliant opportunities.

Any advice for people who might be considering applying to Mercury’s graduate programme for 2022

“If it’s something you are considering then I would absolutely recommend you to submit that application. Mercury is an Engineering company, but there are unlimited opportunities, regardless of if you are project based or in a support role. The opportunity to take place in Mercury’s graduate programme is an investment in yourself and your potential.”
