Over the course of Construction Safety Week 2021, more than 2,500 Mercury people, global supply-chain members and partners coordinated and engaged in important environmental, health, safety & wellbeing initiatives on all of our projects across Europe.

Our EHS teams provided more than 240 practical safety demonstrations on 42 projects in 15 countries, in locations such as Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Milan, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Warsaw, Hamburg, London, Odense, Amsterdam, Lulea, Munich, Dublin and more.

Exercises were carried out in a variety of European languages to cater for our diverse and multinational workforce, demonstrating the global nature of our safety efforts and the scale of our operations across a number of key sectors.

Each day of Construction Safety Week featured an important safety theme, and demonstrations focused on the following key areas of working safely on site: Safe Driving, Personal Health, Working at Heights, Safe Lifting Plant & Hazardous Energies.

Michael O’Connor, Group EHS Director said: “Well done to our global EHS and Operations teams for their excellent participation across Construction Safety Week. At Mercury, Safety is our core value and our dedication to getting our people, supply-chain and partners home safely every day is why our EHS record is best-in-class across Europe.”
