Mercury delivers China Mobile International’s First Data Centre in Frankfurt, Germany
Mercury is delighted to have delivered China Mobile International Limited’s (CMI) newest data centre in Germany as the prime contractor. The purpose-built Tier III facility is located in Frankfurt, the financial capital of the European Union. The project was completed with very high levels of safety, quality, value engineering and innovation.
The Frankfurt Data Centre is an important addition to CMI’s growing global network and serves as both an International Network Exchange hub and an Internet Data Centre (IDC), facilitating the high levels of trade between Asia and Europe.
Mercury Project Manager, Colin Holmes said: “We’re delighted to have completed this first project for our client CMI. We hope that this is the beginning of a long-lasting relationship between our two companies.
“Without the skill, hard work and dedication of the entire project team including our local and international supply chain, this would not have been possible. Furthermore, the adaptability of the team to modularise elements of the project to reduce the number of onsite employees, adapting to the new norm of maintaining social distancing and mitigate the risk of virus transmission was essential in delivering this project.”
