Mercury staff and supply-chain members complete ‘12 Days of Safety’ initiative
Mercury staff and supply-chain members on our project sites across Europe have successfully completed our ‘12 Days of Safety’ initiative.
The purpose of this event was to re-focus our staff and supply-chain members on the basics of safety to ensure that all stakeholders get home safe and well to their loved ones.
Through Toolbox Talks, practical demonstrations, inductions, posters, and prize giveaways we rewarded individuals and teams for their commitment to safety throughout 2020.
This scheme was successfully carried out to ensure that no complacency in relation to safety was exhibited in the run-up to Christmas.
Robert O’Dowd, Group EHS Manager said: “2020 has been a very difficult year. With Christmas on the horizon and people beginning to think about the upcoming holiday period we want to refocus our staff and supply chain on the basics of safety and the importance of sticking to the plan, in ensuring that they can get home safely every day.”
