Central Engineering provides the technical expertise and strategic support needed to deliver certainty, quality, and innovation.
The Central Engineering team engages early through tender and preconstruction to bring technical leadership and clarity to projects before they reach site. Once a project reaches the delivery stage, ownership is seamlessly transferred to the operational and package teams.
Across projects, disciplines and regions, the Central Engineering team establishes engineering standards and provides technical governance, design assurance, risk management, value engineering, and localisation guidance to ensure solutions are aligned with regional requirements, client expectations, regulatory obligations, and delivery best practice. The team coordinates BIM and digital engineering, creates common workflows and transfers lessons learned and best practices across projects and regions.
Central Engineering is also preparing Mercury for the next generation of data centres. The team advances Off-Site Manufacturing, industrialised construction and direct-to-chip cooling, making complex project delivery safer, more predictable and scalable.
