Autor: Cormac Byrne  /  30th Mai, 2022  /  Nachrichten, Careers

For the second installment of this year’s Visa Interview Series, we spoke to Maximo Castillo who works as a CSA Supervisor on a data centre project in Berlin, Germany.

Maximo, who originally hails from Nueva Ecija in the Philippines, joined our team in October 2021, and highlights the benefits and support systems associated with Mercury’s visa application process.

Mercury is currently recruiting for over 200 positions throughout Europe. Last year we hired people of 31 different nationalities.

With operations spanning across more than 12 global locations, and 6,500 people under our management now is an exciting time to join our ever-growing team.

If successful in the interview stage, we can support your visa application if required, and accommodation can be provided if applicable.

Can you tell us a bit about your background?

“I am a qualified civil engineer and have been employed in the construction industry for the past fifteen years and have specialised in working on power plants and industrial projects like data centres.”

How did you first hear about Mercury?

“I first heard about Mercury through a former colleague who had been working with the company for quite some time.”

How long have you been working with us?

“I started my role with Mercury in October 2021.”

How was your experience getting a visa/work permit?

“In my experience, getting a work permit can take considerable time when coming from a non-European country. In my case, I am from the Philippines, and it took around four months from application to completion. Mercury has been very accommodating and supportive throughout the entire process and were a great help in securing my work permit. It must be noted that this work was carried out throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

Would you recommend other people from abroad to work with Mercury in Germany?

“In these challenging and digitally focused times, Mercury is an ideal company to work for. Mercury is a very supportive and innovative employer, and I would recommend others to join us as we continue to build for the future. Germany as most people know, is a great place to work and live and with Mercury there is plenty of opportunity for career development and personal growth.”
