To mark World Suicide Prevention Day 2021, Mercury hosted an exclusive event for our team on a data centre project in Warsaw, Poland, with elite Polish Champion swimmer, Jan Świtkowski.

Jan gave a very inspirational talk about his personal journey and previous struggles with depression and also spoke about the key highlights of his career as an elite athlete. Jan encouraged those who may be struggling with mental health issues to keep in mind that reaching out to others is not a sign of weakness but a sign of strength. Thanks very much to Jan for a superb session and thanks to our partners at PepTalk Wellbeing for organising this event.

Our goal is that not only do we ensure the physical safety of every employee, but also that we take robust steps towards encouraging positive mental health through our daily actions across all of our operations.
