Mercury virtually conducts electrical Factory Acceptance Tests for Healthcare Project
Mercury recently conducted a number of electrical Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for a Healthcare Project based in Dublin, Ireland virtually.
These tests were performed through a live video demonstration over the cloud-based conference call software, Microsoft Teams.
Mercury conducted three FATs for the Generator, Transformer and MV Switch Gear.
The equipment is located across three different countries in Europe; Northern Ireland, Italy and the Czech Republic.
Declan O’Donovan, one of Mercury’s project managers said: “This has been a huge success as we find new ways to get around the current restrictions of movement due to the global Covid-19 pandemic.
„Traditionally FATs are done in person and often involve international travel.
„We see that this will become the new normal way of conducting our business even in the post-Pandemic environment.
„This will factor into the wider plans in the Group to reduce our travel where possible, in line with Mercury’s sustainability plan to reduce our carbon footprint”.
