Over the 2020 Easter Bank Holiday Weekend, Mercury took part in the ‚Shine a Light‘ campaign in Ireland.

Although Mercury’s Dublin HQ is currently closed as employees work from home during the Covid-19 pandemic, Mercury turned its lights on as part of the Shine a Light initiative of the Irish Government. Mercury shined a light for all the sick, front line workers and all those affected by Covid-19.

Government buildings and businesses across Ireland lit up with a host of national and local public buildings across the island shining their beacon lights, along with Irish embassies and missions around the world.

Irish Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Leo Varadkar stated „We’re inviting everyone to e for our healthcare and essential workers at 9pm tonight. For the sick, the grieving, and everyone affected by Covid-19″

One of the most impressive buildings to be lit up was the IAA Control Tower at Dublin Airport. Mercury is proud to have worked on this project, which was completed last year in 2019. The IAA, in conjunction with EBS Group shined a light into the sky as a ‚beacon of hope‘ for all those impacted by Covid-19.
