Mercury is delighted to announce that several of our team members have recently been recognised for their dedication to quality and safety, while working on a project for MSD Biotech Dublin.

Mercury received several rewards due to the excellent standards achieved on W1,2 and 3 ICT infrastructure handover walks.

Gareth Brodigan, Quality Manager for MSD Biotech, Dublin, said that there was a number of reasons why the Mercury team were so successful in upholding our first-class quality and safety record on this project.

Gareth was also keen to highlight the positive and professional working relationship that Mercury maintained with MSD Biotech Dublin, which was crucial in the success of this project.

Communication played an integral role throughout, and quality was discussed with operatives through weekly toolbox talks, while incentives and rewards were offered to those who showed excellent attention to quality.

Mercury also displayed quality notice boards on this site, which prompted positive engagement from team members.

All installations made on-site were bench marked against the approved First of Kinds schedule.

Mercury is proud of a number of recent accolades achieved on the MSD Biotech project.

In February, over 4 million people hours were achieved on this project, without any Lost Time Injuries (LTIs) recorded.

A number of our operatives were also recently rewarded for their dedication to safety on this site.

All operatives working on this site are expected to take part in a Safety Observation Report scheme (SOR) – whereby any potential quality or safety issues are identified, reported and logged.

The key objective of this scheme is to encourage all on site personnel to identify any issues or hazards which may need to be repaired or replaced, ensuring other personnel are not affected.

Warren was presented with an award cert, which he received, while adhering to COVID-19 social distancing policy.
