Scope of the Role:
Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the ideal candidate should have a passion for delivering strategic initiatives in a dynamic company operating across Europe.
In this role, you will lead the execution of Mercury’s Go Beyond Strategy, ensuring our strategic objectives across Markets & Sectors and People & Operations are tracked and delivered. You will influence and lead our strategy execution model, guiding senior leaders through the seven‑step execution methodology, ensuring it drives measurable impact across Mercury. As Strategy Lead, you will play a central role in aligning teams, shaping decisions and communicating strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Responsible for supporting and driving the delivery of all Go Beyond strategic pillars across Markets & Sectors and People & Operations, ensuring alignment with Mercury’s long‑term direction.
- Own, evolve and continuously enhance Mercury’s strategy execution framework, incorporating best-in-class strategic models and external consultancy methodologies to strengthen our seven-step approach and ensure it remains world-leading.
- Sell and communicate Mercury’s Go Beyond strategy internally and externally, ensuring both employees and clients clearly understand its purpose and strategic objectives.
- Drive the integration of the strategy into the rhythm of the business, embedding it into CPM, business goals, leadership cycles, and Townhalls.
- Guide the Pillar Leaders on the execution of their robust pillar plans, ensuring their accurately maintained and updated regularly
- Lead the design and implementation of the strategic KPI framework across all 10 pillars ensuring consistency in measurement, reporting, and workflow across the strategy function.
- Report strategic progress to the SLT, Leadership cycles and Townhalls throughout the year.
- Lead the annual strategic review process and coordinate change management across the 10 pillar leaders.
- Drive the quarterly strategic cycles with all Pillar Leaders ensuring they deliver on their commitments, track their milestone progress, and escalate risks where required.
- Maintain dashboards (e.g., Monday.com) to enhance visibility, accountability, and performance tracking across Go Beyond.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to graduates, including line management and structured development plans.
- Lead onboarding for new team members, ensuring they understand Mercury’s purpose, culture and Go Beyond strategy.
- Guide all branded strategic communications, ensuring clarity, consistency and alignment with internal and external messaging.
- Influence strategic content for Townhalls, Leadership sessions and Annual Summits, ensuring messages are clear, impactful and aligned to enterprise priorities.
- Understand LinkedIn and digital performance insights, ensuring strategic messaging is supported by data‑driven paid and organic performance
- Conduct strategic benchmarking, analysing Mercury’s structures and frameworks against industry leaders.
- Represent and embody Mercury’s Go Beyond culture.

- Deep sector understanding of data centres, semiconductors and life sciences, with demonstrated ability to interpret market drivers.
- Maintain a strong insight into global trends to inform strategic direction.

- Experience in navigating enterprise infrastructure within organisations.

Essential Criteria
- Master’s degree in Business, Strategy, Engineering or a related field.
- High proficiency in Monday.com, PowerPoint and Excel, with strong familiarity in SharePoint or equivalent digital collaboration tools.
- Demonstrated expertise in programme management and structured strategic execution.
- Advanced digital and analytical proficiency, including reporting, KPI tracking and planning systems.
- Track record of success working in collaborative, high‑performance team environments.
