Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Maintain accurate records of Mercury-owned Tool & Plant assets, ensuring all equipment is correctly logged, updated, and stored appropriately.
- Inspect tools and equipment regularly, reporting damaged, obsolete, or faulty items and arranging repair or replacement in line with company procedures.
- Update plant records promptly and communicate any status changes to relevant teams within agreed timelines
- Track the condition, maintenance, and upgrade requirements of Orbital equipment to minimise downtime and support uninterrupted project delivery.
- Assist in performing regular inventory counts to maintain accurate asset records and support operational requirements across sites.
- Assist with the disposal of damaged, obsolete, or redundant equipment, ensuring records are updated and all relevant documentation is completed.
- Issue, receive, and track Tool & Plant equipment, supporting site teams by ensuring the timely availability and return of assets.
- Support site teams proactively by ensuring timely access to required equipment, helping to avoid delays on live projects.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe stores environment in accordance with company policies and health and safety requirements.
- Support the efficient operation of the Tool & Plant Store by assisting with deliveries, equipment inspections, stock control, and general store duties.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by the line manager
Essential Criteria for the Role:
- Working experience in Tool & Plant
- Computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Excellent telephone manner
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Pride in the quality and presentation of work
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience using SAP
