Reflecting on our accomplishments and driving ahead in 2024 – A message from Eoin Vaughan, CEO
2023 has been a positive year for Mercury and I am proud of our teams across Europe for their hard work and dedication to delivering results throughout the year. In the face of global economic and industry challenges, our people have persisted and continued to operate at the leading edge of business. Their work is a testament to Mercury’s culture and mindset.
Throughout 2023, we have delivered on multiple data centre projects for our clients across Europe and have opened avenues in new, exciting sectors. We have grown our semiconductor operations, and we are looking forward to bringing value to clients in this developing industry.
Alongside this, growth in the Life Sciences sector has ignited a wave of exciting opportunities for Mercury. With 40 years of expertise in the pharmaceutical sector, we have a strong history of delivering complex engineering and construction projects, creating solutions that bring cutting-edge technologies to life. Our teams have the background, expertise, and core skills necessary to deliver within the pharmaceutical field.
With the many changes ahead, we understand that it is all the more necessary to stay focused and rally behind our core purpose: Your Vision, Our Duty. This year saw a strengthened dedication to our duty to deliver our clients’ and people’s visions. As our Chairman Eric Wallace has expressed, Mercury’s purpose is real – it lives, it’s evolving. It captures the genuine value of who we are and what we do. We go beyond the call of duty and our commitment to the client puts them at the centre of everything we do. This would not be possible without our people. As a company, we are committed to giving them the opportunity to reach their full potential. It’s this dedication to our purpose that turns our clients into partners, our people into teams, and builds powerful relationships.
Over the year, we have continued to show a dedication to our core value of Work Safe, Home Safe. As we delivered for our clients across expanding projects, sectors, and regions, our teams ensured our approach to safety remained consistent, day in and day out. Safety underpins everything that we do, and it is great to see our people bring a level of excellence to all of our projects.
I am proud of all that we have accomplished over the last 12 months and am confident that we will continue delivering outstanding results for all of our stakeholders into 2024.
