Scaling data centre project delivery in Munich
Mercury’s Hyperscale Data Centre team is currently delivering two leading edge projects in Munich, Germany. Eoin Baker, Project Manager notes, “This region has become increasingly vital for us and our clients.” Munich’s central location and proximity to other European hubs of industry make it a prime location for a new wave of European data centre construction. Mercury’s soon to open Offsite Manufacturing facility in Schönebeck, Germany will play an important role in aiding the delivery of projects in the city and across Europe.
Eoin began his career on Mercury’s Graduate Programme in Warsaw before moving to projects in Vienna and Milan, developing his skillset as a CSA Engineer and Package Manager before stepping into a Project Manager role. „My favourite part of my job is the problem-solving aspect. Some of the challenges can seem difficult at times but it’s rewarding when you find solutions.”
Mercury is committed to increasing its footprint in the Munich region by continuing to provide critical solutions with certainty. “On every project I’ve worked on we follow a consistent approach, which has allowed us to scale and take on more complex work” Eoin comments. “Key to this has been a major focus on the Work Safe, Home Safe ethos and our dedication to following the best EHS and Quality practices every time.”
