Scope of the Role:

This Cost Control Administrator role will provide direct support to a central team working out of Mercury’s Front End Engineering Design office at Kildare Innovation Campus, Leixlip. The role is 5 days a week in the office. The FEED team is responsible for executing projects front-end deliverables for Mercury’s Semiconductor (Advanced Technology) and Pharmaceutical (Life Sciences) business units. The FEED team delivers project services across a project portfolio from initial project tender phase through to construction start. Services provided specifically include Engineering, BIM, OSM, Project Controls and Supply Chain Management.

 

Responsibilities of the Role: 

  • Prepare, monitor & report on project cost forecasts. 
  • Prepare & Present end of month commercial reports identifying key highlights or anomalies. 
  • Track & Report on Change Management Logs. • Complete monthly intercompany billing.
  • Assist project management in cost build-up of pricing projects.
  •  Manage project Work Breakdown Structure.
  •  Review & action Purchase order & Invoicing requirements. 
  • Ensure compliance with all cost control processes in compliance with Company Procedures and Project requirements. 
  • Carry out checks on aged Purchase Orders in SAP and validate their need. If not required complete “Goods Received Invoice Received” (GRIR) to maintain accuracy in reporting.
  • Assist/advise project teams on any bespoke internal reporting that may be required/requested from time to time.

 

Your Qualifications and Key Criteria:

• 3+ years’ experience in a cost control / commercial administrator role

. • Work on own initiative • Degree or relative diploma

• PC literate with competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

• Ability to manage a large volume of work. • Attention to detail with good numerical ability.

• Ability to work to deadlines.

• Strong organisational skills.

• Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.

 

Desirable Skills:

• SAP experience advantage but not essential as full training will be given.

• Analytical software experience e.g. Power BI

• Experience in the construction or engineering industry advantage but not essential
