Mercury has been awarded the contract for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the new automatic sprinkler and fire hydrant systems for the proposed Public Transport Maintenance Garage in Dublin. The scope includes the provision of purpose built packaged pumphouse buildings, water storage tanks and an underground hydrant main. The sprinkler system will be installed throughout the redeveloped building and the overall programme of works will see substantial completion by February 2020.
The project includes the redevelopment of an existing building complex, circa. 6000m² and the works will see major modification and upgrades to the existing structures on the site including the re-roofing of the original buildings. The new development will house a garage and indoor bus parking area plus offices, canteens, workshops and other smaller rooms.
