Indaver, Waste to Energy

The Indaver €130 Million project began construction in 2009 and was completed in 2011. The facility processes 200,000 tonnes of waste each year. It incinerates solid waste to produce 15 Gigawatts of electricity; enough to supply 20,000 homes with their annual power needs. Mercury has managed the installation of the Steam/Condensate package for the facility. Primarily, our role was to develop the pipework and supports as per the design brief of MWH, Belgium. In addition to the piping, Mercury oversaw the installation of a large number of in-line components. These include valves, tanks, vessels, heat exchangers and pumps.
