Arthur Cox (Earlsfort Terrace) is an office block, with 132,000 sq. ft. situated on the corner of Earlsfort Terrace and Hatch Street. The stake holders involved were Clancourt Group as the Developers, John Sisk and Son (Holdings) Ltd as the Main Contractor. The Project Management and Quantity Surveying was conducted by Linesight, while Homan O’Brien were the Mechanical and Electrical Engineers on site. Mercury were appointed to complete the Shell & Core works in late 2015, and were then awarded the Fit-Out contract.
The design, features and interiors of the building were largely influenced by focus groups made up of trainees, associates, business services, the partnership and the executive team at Arthur Cox. Staff will have the choice of working from multifunctional sit or stand desks, as well as being able to utilise soft phone technology.
Mercury’s scope was to supply and install all electrical services including main power distribution & small power, access control, BMS, lighting and fire alarm. The sixth floor of had a significant distribution of specialist lighting. The new build has an extremely high level of environmental sustainability. It is 26% more energy efficient than the standard under building regulations. It also has the highest achievable rating (LEED Platinum) for shell & core and fit-out.
