This Sunday, June 5<\/span>th is<\/span>\u00a0World Environment Day 2022, which is the most significant global environmental outreach initiative of the year.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our planet needs us, and we are determined to do our part. As a major player in the construction industry, we recognise the impact we have on current emissions, and the significant opportunity we have to meaningfully reduce these.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To mark World Environmental Day, we have introduced a range of sustainability-themed posters on our projects across Europe, which will help to raise awareness amongst our people, in being more mindful of how personal choices can impact energy usage and efficiency.<\/span><\/p>\n

Improved decision-making will reduce our carbon footprint by driving down energy and usage, and using energy more efficiently. These posters provide specific advice on how these positive outcomes may be achieved.<\/p>\n

While we are confident that this initiative will have a positive impact on lowering our monthly energy consumption, our key messaging also provides good practice for daily routines that people have while at home.<\/p>\n

We have produced these posters in a number of languages, to reflect the diverse nature of our employees, including Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Danish, Swedish and Polish.<\/p>\n

As a company, we have set ourselves clear sustainability targets, to meet our key objectives of minimising the use of energy, fuel and water, while also reducing the generation of waste, carbon, and other emissions.<\/p>\n

We have aligned our initiatives with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), and <\/span>2022 has seen Mercury reach a number of key sustainability milestones.<\/p>\n
