This is a collaborative language for the flow and structure of information, that improves efficiency through a common approach to the digital environment.<\/p>\n<p>Our recent audit by the British Standards Institute (BSI) on the new international standard, recognises that our methods and procedures meet all the requirements as a Lead Appointed Party (Tier 1 contractor). This allows for more informed decision making at the earliest opportunity, for the unified production of information to meet our clients&#8216; needs.<\/p>\n<p>As we all transition further into the digital environment this framework creates a benchmark for common understanding of client, project, and stakeholder objectives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits for our Clients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The standard clearly defines the scope for the client, main contractor, and subcontractors throughout all stages of the project. It assists us in helping all parties identify what information is required and how it will be delivered at all stages of the project life-cycle. The implementation of this standard also demonstrates to our clients that we are continually striving to improve the quality of our deliverables.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits for Mercury<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The implementation of ISO 19650 standardises the structures and processes for the way Mercury gathers, stores and shares information. This normalises the methods and workflows we use throughout the entire project life-cycle.<\/p>\n<p>With all projects adopting the same methods of categorising and storing information, we create efficiencies for our staff and business as we move from one project to the next, regardless of Business Unit or geographical location.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Beyond BIM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While the standard leverages Building Information Management (BIM), its impact is Group-wide across all operational functions and business units.
