{"id":3719,"date":"2020-03-11T11:28:07","date_gmt":"2020-03-11T11:28:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mercuryeng.com\/?p=3719"},"modified":"2022-12-15T11:38:34","modified_gmt":"2022-12-15T11:38:34","slug":"mercury-joins-business-in-the-community-bitc-network","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mercuryeng.com\/de\/2020\/03\/11\/mercury-joins-business-in-the-community-bitc-network\/","title":{"rendered":"Mercury joins Business in the Community (BITCI) network"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"xmsonormal\">Mercury is pleased to announce that we have today joined the Business in the Community (BITCI) network.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\">We will now join over 100 of Ireland&#8217;s most established companies who are part of the movement for sustainable change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\">In a dynamic and changing environment, sustainable businesses are successful businesses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\">BITCI act as an adviser in sustainability and corporate social responsibility and provides access to best practice and support businesses with practical management and monitoring systems.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\">Our Chief Executive Officer, Eoin Vaughan, will on Friday March 13th, sign BITCI\u2019s Low Carbon pledge, meaning that Mercury is committed to reducing our Scope 1 &amp; 2 greenhouse gas emission intensity by 50% by 2030.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"\/about-us\/sustainability-statement\/\">CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR)<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>At Mercury, we recognise the diversity of the different regions and industries in which we work and adapt our working practices to accommodate those differences accordingly.
