{"id":2954,"date":"2019-10-23T08:58:08","date_gmt":"2019-10-23T08:58:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mercuryeng.com\/?p=2954"},"modified":"2019-10-23T11:04:39","modified_gmt":"2019-10-23T11:04:39","slug":"mercurys-frederic-lefebvre-wins-best-industrial-paper-at-cita-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mercuryeng.com\/de\/2019\/10\/23\/mercurys-frederic-lefebvre-wins-best-industrial-paper-at-cita-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Mercury&#8217;s Frederic Lefebvre wins Best Industrial Paper at CitA awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span id=\"ember421\" class=\"ember-view\">On September 26th 2019, Mercury&#8217;s Frederic Lefebvre received an award from CitA for the Best Industrial Paper for his thesis paper titled &#8222;An investigation into current procurement strategies that promote collaboration through early contractor involvement with regards to their suitability for Irish public works projects&#8220; at the CitA BIM Gathering 2019 in Galway, Ireland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Frederic works on the National Children&#8217;s Hospital project in Dublin, Ireland as a Quantity Surveyor. He joined Mercury in 2000, working as an electrical estimator for 15 years, and gained a vast experience in tendering commercial, infrastructure, pharma, data centre or healthcare projects in both public and private sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Frederic graduated from DIT (Now TU Dublin) in 2015, with a BSc in Quantity Surveying and Construction Economics and received a first-class honours MSc in Applied Building Information Modelling and Management at TU Dublin in 2019. He has a strong interest in Early Contractor Involvement, Integrated Project Delivery and collaborative procurement methods which are the subject of the research presented by Frederic at the 2019 BIM Gathering event.
