On Saturday 19th October 2019, Mercury sponsored Frankfurt Sarsfields GAA men\u2019s and women\u2019s teams took part in the European GAA Championships in Vienna, Austria.<\/p>\n

The Men’s team won the Intermediate European Championship for first time in 11 years, having had 6 losses in the finals prior to that. The Ladies also performed incredibly well, making it to the semi-final. Brendan Coleman, Frankfurt based Quantity Surveyor with Mercury and a Frankfurt GAA player said „It’s been a great day for the club, it must be the new kits!“<\/p>\n

Mercury’s own Nathan Gavin was also awarded Men’s Player of the Tournament, a fantastic achievement.<\/p>\n

In the European GAA Championships 2018, the Frankfurt Sarsfield Ladies\u2019 GAA team won the Ladies Shield European title and the Men\u2019s team made it to the finals, narrowly coming in second place to Liffr\u00e9, a french club in the Men\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>Intermediate \u2018A\u2019. <\/span>Earlier in 2019, the Frankfurt Sarsfields GAA men\u2019s team won the German GAA Cup for the third consecutive year and the ladies came second place to a strong Berlin side.<\/p>\n
