<\/p>\nMercury recently completed Making Safety Personal (MSP) training with a supply chain team on a Hyperscale Data Centre project in the Amsterdam region, Netherlands on Wednesday, 19 June 2019. The session was presented by Michael O\u2019Connor, Group QEHS manager at Mercury and Lisa O\u2019Donnell, Safety Manager for the Hyperscale Data Centres Business Unit (photographed above).<\/p>\n
Mercury is committed to rolling out Making Safety Personal training with the stated objective of improving all attendees\u2019 personal relationship with safety and obtaining important feedback to improve Mercury\u2019s EHS performance in the role of General Contractor on the project.<\/p>\n
As part of the training, attendees were asked to contact their nearest and dearest to have a proactive conversation regarding safety, reinforcing its personal nature (photographed below).<\/p>\n

A survey was completed at the end of the training to provide feedback as part of Mercury\u2019s aim for constant improvement. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive towards the training so far and includes the below comments:<\/p>\n
„This training course breaks down barriers and helps individuals personally.“<\/p>\n
„The course opened everyone’s eyes as to how one lapse in concentration can cause problems for yourself and others.“<\/p>\n
„It gave me a positive, different view on some EHS subjects that I occasionally struggle with.“<\/p>\n

„The idea of potentially going home to my family injured or possibly not at all.“<\/p>\n
