Mercury is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeremy Turk to the role of Group Sustainability Director. Jeremy brings a wealth of expertise and experience from consulting and policy work to this critical role.<\/p>\n
Jeremy has over 15 years of experience in energy and GHG management, climate mitigation and adaptation, and corporate sustainability strategy. He joins us from Vanguard where he was a Senior Climate Specialist focusing on climate risk governance, and was responsible for guiding company perspectives, public communications, and investment policies on climate risk.<\/p>\n
Prior to joining Vanguard, he was a sustainability consultant, supporting clients across multiple sectors including technology, transportation, construction, utility, manufacturing, and financial services. His extensive background also includes teaching masters-level courses on climate change at the University of Edinburgh. Jeremy holds a PhD in Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences and an MSc in Carbon Management both from the University of Edinburgh, and a BA in Geosciences from Princeton University.<\/p>\n
In his new role, Jeremy will be responsible for developing, overseeing, and implementing Mercury\u2019s sustainability strategy. He will coordinate and supervise sustainability activities across the group, working closely with other managers, our clients, and key stakeholders. Jeremy will also lead initiatives to establish a sustainability roadmap, deliver on strategic targets, and enhance our sustainability reporting.<\/p>\n
This appointment reflects Mercury’s commitment to sustainability, enabling us to operate at the leading edge of industry and work with the world\u2019s leading corporations. Jeremy’s leadership and expertise will be instrumental in driving our sustainability efforts and ensuring we meet our objectives.<\/p>\n
