The Mercury team recently attended Datacloud Global Congress 2024 in Cannes. As\u00a0Europe\u2019s leading data centre construction provider, we were delighted to meet with our industry peers and to connect with our clients, supply chain partners, and other expert professionals. This prestigious event allowed us to lead discussions on the future of data centre construction, and the role of digitalisation in advancing the sector.<\/p>\n

The digital landscape is rapidly growing, with data centres playing an integral role in supporting this growth. Arguably they\u2019re the backbone of our connected world. At Mercury, we\u2019re leading the charge in revolutionising data centre construction, specialising in constructing state-of-the-art facilities using cutting-edge technologies and modern methods of construction\u2013 always seeking to push boundaries and exceed our client\u2019s expectations.<\/p>\n

The role of technology in striving for reliability<\/h4>\n

As Europe\u2019s\u2019 most experienced data centre service provider, reliability is paramount to us, and we understand the significance of maintaining strong relationships with our clients. Over the past 20 years, our highly skilled international teams have successfully delivered data centres in over 14 countries for some of the world\u2019s largest corporations.<\/p>\n

Because of this, we\u2019re committed to delivering to the highest of standards and we engage with clients early, maintaining strong communication throughout a project lifecycle is key. A successful build is rooted in effective preparation and strong communication. Tools like the Mercury Commissioning Digital Environment<\/a> play a huge part in this, enhancing our team\u2019s ability to plan, execute, and measure all commissioning deliverables on data centre projects and helps us simultaneously communicate updates with the client. Mercury utilises other technologies like OpenSpace to give us a greater visibility into our projects, helping to enhance sequences of install and avoid costly rework.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re technology focused and people oriented. Humans will remain in the decision loop, particularly when it comes to quality and safety on a project, and we know its our focused and determined team that enables us to consistently deliver results. While construction is a human dependent industry, requiring manpower to execute tasks on complex projects, we also recognise that through harnessing technology and the power of AI we can achieve and exceed our goals.<\/p>\n

Offsite Assembly (OSA) is an offering that plays a significant role in helping us deliver. The OSA market is redefining our industry and Mercury is leading the way in this space. Our expansive OSA strategy and capabilities<\/a> will ensure our success continues to mount as we step into the future. Our proven record of integrating technology into our work is crucial for quickly and efficiently delivering our client\u2019s vision.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Mercury uses technology to simulate various design scenarios and to optimise the planning phases of data centre projects. AI Insights in Power BI helps us interpret data, forecast trends, and make informed decisions quickly.<\/p>\n
